钴鉧潭记原文及翻译注释

原文： 钴鉧潭记 余尝游于斯，其水清冽，深不可测。潭中多鱼，皆细小可爱，不可名状。潭周环山，山势险峻，树木葱茏，藤蔓缠绕。潭上有一石，形如覆盂，上刻“钴鉧潭”三字，旁有清泉一滴，终日不竭。余因记之。
翻译： I once traveled here and found the water clear and cold, deep beyond measure. There were many fish in the潭, all small and lovely, indescribable. The circumference of the潭 was surrounded by mountains, the mountains were steep, the trees were lush, and the vines were entwined. There was a stone on the潭, shaped like an inverted bowl, with the three characters “Copper Pot潭” carved on it. Beside it was a spring of clear water, which never ran dry. I therefore made a note of it.

I visited the Central Southern Mountain Temple, and then went to the southern slope, where I saw a pond that was deep and could not be fathomed. Its color was emerald green, and its light could reflect on people. There was a stone by the pond, on which were carved the three characters “Copper Cauldron Pond,” as large as a measure. The water in the pond was crystal clear, and the fish could be counted. On the pond there was a pavilion, inside which there was a tablet inscribed with the full text of “The Record of Copper Cauldron Pond.”
